Axolotl

Very true. Bass love salamanders of all types if they can get them.

Where did you get this larvae axolotl? Did you raise it from an egg? I've always wanted to have one of those as well. I've had mudpuppies before so I'd imagine the care is the same.

I got the Axolotl from Riley Bertsh out of Kansas City. I got it when it still had just its front legs and about two weeks after I got it the back legs came in. The care is pretty easy on them, just alot of water changes because it isnt big enough to go in a tank with a filter.

Aww, I love these guys. I have 4 currently, yellow and white albinos, leucistic, and normal. I just had one try and eat my blind cave fish today haha. Took no time for them to get huge. Too bad I cant have them shipped to cali or else id have alot more

They're totally aquatic (paedomorphic also) so they eat a lot of water organisms like fish and inverts. They live in rocks and will eat a lot of larvae from things like mayflies, stoneflies, etc. I know that in captivity, you can get them to eat little food pellets or turtle sticks from pet stores, or even earthworms bought from a bait store.
