I think I have looked at every possible available crestie out there....and I want them all.I really do want at least 2 more...But I want to wait until I know for sure what this one is first(male or female).Then I can decide if #1 I want to breed them or not and do I need to do more than one tank after quarentine period.I think I want a flame and I also want a lighter type morph ...like a blonde something...maybe a creamsicle...But not sure just yet.

How bout a red harley? Sounds like the perfect match for you. One of my personal favorites if you can find one for a good price. Just look different places and I too are addicted. I just love them. I really wish my wallet would be a little bigger so I could get 2 gorgeous ones that I have found.

Odds are in favour of it being male. There are way more males in circulation than females, so I always assume any crested I buy is male. So, since you want 'at least 2 more', I'd say go ahead and get one or two now, don't bother waiting. If one or two end up being male, then you have a good base to start your breeding group since you'll most likely have gotten the colours and morphs you want to work with. If you have 2 or more females, you're darned lucky, go and buy a lottery ticket before the pixie dust wears off

Then I can decide if #1 I want to breed them or not

Um, as any crested gecko addict knows, that's not really a valid question - the answer is guaranteed "YES", in capital letters.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh you guys are a biiiiiiiiiig help aren't ya....LOL Yeah I will probably breed...heck if I can do leos and birds...why not cresties.I did check that link out...Kingsnake is always a great place for classifieds....I almost live there lately. Once Feb gets here and I know I am clear to get at least 1 more...Then I'm in trouble....I want sooo many different ones...I love the lighter colored ones too. A red Harley would be great....but so would a blonde.
Man I am in soooo much trouble with these guys..>They just had to go and be cute didn't they.

I am seeing how easy they are...and this little cutie of mine is seeming to really enjoy hanging out with us. Jumps form hand to hand ...looks right up at me when I open the tank. He is eating great!!Birds actually are not really hard....just messy little buggers. I actually enjoy hand feeding them. I have 2 babies now I am feeding...yeah I'm sucker...and that cuteness factor totally worked.....Just what I needed to see....cute little babies...those faces just kill me. I can't beliee how tiny they are...how much does a newly hatched **** weigh usually??

up to 5 grams or so. but Cresteds don't poop as often or as messy as birds. every day i go around with a tissue and clean up poop. then every 2 weeks they get a deep cleaning.

So then I wonder how old the one I have is really...he is about 5 1/2 grams. Although at the petstore I got him from I am sure they only fed crickets or worms so he may be older and just not weigh as much as he should .He eats great now. Plenty of CGD and I have been giving crickets twice a week. He will get his second feeding of crickets tonight.I gave him some on Sunday.And then tonight and that will be it for the week.
