Re: Pinky Pinky ......
Sounds a bit on the small side, but then again, I'm not big on feeding pinky mice anyhow. It just isn't necessary, especially if you have them eating well on the T-Rex diet.

Re: Pinky Pinky ......
yes, i feed pinks to my ~20 gram auriculatus, but mike is right, if youre feeding the t-rex diet, that is a complete formula, and you dont need to supplament it with pinks, or anything else for that matter. i personally dont feed any powdered diets, and feed an assortment of different things, pinks being one of them, and i find they grow alot bigger, alot faster, when offered them.
edit: keep in mind, a pinky mouse is the equivilancy of a meaty 6 week cricket, or a medium sized roach.

Re: Pinky Pinky ......
Don't mix b-food in at all, it isn't necessary, the T-Rex diets are nutritionally balanced and don't need any additional supplementation.

Nothing would really "happen" actually, it just isn't necessary, the T-Rex diets are nutritionally balanced and b-food.....well......isn't. It's empty calories basically, a lot of sugar and preservatives and not much else. Organic b-food that is 100% fruit no preserves probably isn't as bad. I used b-food with some of my animals when I first switched to CGD because many of them just weren't eating it, and then I slowly worked the b-food out of the equation until it was all CGD and they were eating it just fine, other than that I stay away from it. |

Re: Pinky Pinky ......
Tamara,
Do you feed live or FT pinks? I seem to remember you saying you feed live... if so, do you think they would take FT? Thanks, Genevieve |

Re: Pinky Pinky ......
I feed live, mostly because i breed my own pinks. so i can go into the garage at any time and get however many i need. they are stimulated by the blood, and wiggling. like they will bite and release, and then if you hold it up, they start to lick the blood from the bite wound, and decide its something to eat. i was thinking of trying frozen pink parts on my auriculatus hatchlings, so ill try that out and post how it goes over.
