Re: First Leachies - so excited!
My female Yate seems to be settling into her new cage nicely and was out exploring quite a bit tonight. I took the opportunity to slide the glass doors open and grab some images of her while she was out and about. Unfortunately, the male is taking longer to acclimate and really wasn't come out of his cork hollow since I brought him home from Steve's on Thursday night. I'm sure I'll be able to snap some pictures of him over the next couple of weeks. I'm having a blast watching the female!

Re: First Leachies - so excited!
Finally got some better shots of my female Yate. She's been eating like a pig and growing nicely. I haven't weighed her in a month but I'm betting that she's approaching 300 grams. Look at the size of the claws in the second photo -- no wonder my arm gets so scratched up every time I take her out for some handling! The male took much longer to acclimate than the female so I've really tried not to bother him with pictures. He's starting to eat really well lately and has been much bolder in exploring his cage so I think I'll try to work on getting some images of him soon. I'm planning to get these two together this spring --- I REALLY hope they end up being compatible!
