Re: My MONSTER Male Grande Terre Yates
If it's too big for them to swallow they'll spit it out anyway. I know Alfredo's type C took a hopper down when he was only around 40 grams, right Alfredo? Then again it is a Type C, and they're even more aggressive and intense than Type As.

Re: My MONSTER Male Grande Terre Yates
I actually just gave my male Riviere Bleue who's about 115 grams a good sized fuzzy last night and that was pretty cool to watch. I normally do pinky's once a month but am trying to do it more around twice a month. I also wanted to see what he could take as far as larger rodents. Next time I am going to videotape it b/c he held on and sqeezed for the kill (it was already dead) then shuffled it to head first then sucked it down.
A hopper at 40 grams is insane though. I though hoppers were bigger than fuzzies and that fuzzy I fed last night was a beast. |

Re: My MONSTER Male Grande Terre Yates
Yes. I do feed my juvenile type C hoppers. It's funny because when I first started feeding live prey to that particular leachie I just happen to have an extra hopper from my larger leachies but they were all full so, I didn't want to waist the little guy. I just basically through the hopper in his enclosure. To my suprise, it actually attacked the little hopper and wouldn't let go. I normallly don't use such big hoppers anymore. I usually use a bunch of little hoppers instead of full grown mice.

Re: My MONSTER Male Grande Terre Yates
I TRIED IT!!!! AND IT Works!!!. I bought me a day old pinky and fed it to my 13 gr. leachie. He took it within minute and he seems happy
. We'll see whether there is a side effect or not soon...

I just fed one to my girl too. Gobbled it right up. I'll be interested to see if there's a corresponding growtj spurt.

Re: My MONSTER Male Grande Terre Yates
Ok guys, do you think I could try a ft pink? I hate the thought of feeding live anything (yes I know I know). I have some frozen pinkies, I think Im going to try it out and see if I maybe wiggle it with a tweezer.

Re: My MONSTER Male Grande Terre Yates
Yes it did work on my male, well he attacked whatever he thought was entering his cage and it happend to be a pinky on a tweezer. He took 2 so Im glad that worked I think its good for them. Now my female didnt want to have anything to do with it. I guess Ill try again another day.
