U. lineatus breeding ?'s

This does not have to be for U. lineatus only but for all Uros. I got my first pair of lineatus about 2 months ago. My female laid two eggs last week one molded a few days later. The eggs were not very calcified. I was dusting crickets at every third feeding. I am not using a UVB strip. How can I give my uros more calcium? Should I use UVB? Any responses will help.

Re: U. lineatus breeding ?'s

If the eggs molded over that quickly, they were infertile. Were the shells hard?

Maybe start by dusting every feeding

Well I thought that if I gave her calcium at every feeding that would be too much and do more harm than good. Here are some pictures of the eggs.

Re: U. lineatus breeding ?'s

The eggs look good, a little undercalcified, but they look viable.

Its impossible to overdose on calcium so I would start to dust every feeding. However it is possible to overdose on vitamin D3, but I dust all my insects every feeding (every other day) in a 50/20/30 mix (Herptivite/Rep Cal calcium with D3/Minerall indoor formula). I have never had a gecko die due to overdosing on D3. However I do not use any UV lights on my Uroplatus.
