2 Quetions

1. How do you handle a crested gecko? Is there some kind of technique you should use? The breeder never handled it, I'm afraid it will drop its tail and get scared of me. I want a way to get it out safely, and make it feel comfortable.

2. What are diseases they can get? Any sites with info? What are common cures for the health issues, and how can you tell if the gecko does have something wrong?

Sorry for the q's. I'm new to all this. They are so cool

#1 - Any way that you want, constricting your gecko won't go over well (of course), but picking them up loosely in your hand and then allowing a sort of "hand to hand" walk is fine. Just be warned, they're little pouncers.

#2 - Cresteds are pretty resistent to disease. There is really only one that is life-threatening, info can be found here .

I never did this thanks to Sandy's actions before I got mine, but I have heard since they do jump all the time get in your shower and with the curtain pulled over sit down and play. Shut the drain though.
