matt - depends where you live, if I were to do it I would probably drive it to your house rather than ship it honestly. Where in Ontario?
David - definately declare them as pets lol .. and yes you should have absolutely no problems. I've taken worse things across the border and gotten waved right through... unless you look like a criminal or a terrorist or have a record or something, 99% of the time they WILL wave you right through... you wouldn't even need to declare the animals. I wouldn't declare them if I were to go... screw it

I actually just did drive across the border and pick up some geckos from Montana. I just called the border crossing before I left home and talked with the vet to let them know and he told the people in charge I only had to pay GST, which is 7 percent. The receipts for the geckos say it was a retail sale, not a wholesale so you should be okay. I told them they were for my collection and signed a few things and I was gone. Easy as 1,2,3.
