Unhappy Hurt or Sick Gecko Plz help

hi.. i have a hurt crested gecko and i really don't know what to do.
I purchased the gecko that seemed alright when i looked at him but like an idiot i was checking out something more interested and didnt really look at the gecko i just assumed it was ok because of pictures.
So. i quarentine the gecko in a large keeper with damp paper towel some fake trees and vines. The night temp on the digi varied between 70-72 and rises to 74-75 during the day.
The following morning i go to check on the gecko and i see it lying on the wet paper towel appearing paralyzed(can barely or slowly move enspecially the back legs) with deep sunk eyes.
It was suggested that the gecko is sick because there was a draft in my car transporting the geckos when i cracked the windows occassionaly. i agree it was cold outside. but The thermometer read 78-80 for the whole ride and a jacket cover most of the plastic tub left a little gap. However it was still suggestion the gecko was sick from the draft or the warm car. But i ensure you the car didnt reach over 80.
Now after the breeder suggested that the gecko got sick because it slept on the wet paper towel in a 70-72 degree keepr with 70-80%hum
they say it froze or something and made it sick.
However, the other gecko i bought that where kept in the same container on the ride over and kept in a similar setup is completely fine.
then it was suggested that the other gecko has stronger immunities.
So when i started asking some breeders about the symptoms it was suggested that the gecko could have been crushed or pinned. Which is starting to make sense beccause the gecko wasnt really moving much when i got him. it was said they're calm because they just woke which i believed.

When i got a better look at the gecko It looks like there's a little indent on its side which makes me further believe it was pinched. and besides the whole fact that the breeder mentioned crushing other geckos in a system that the breeder still uses.

So can someone please help me. No vets reptile vets where open that i could find and this is really upsetting seeing a gecko like this.

Is the whole draft and sleeping on paper towel theory possible or was that just a load of garbage the breeder said to not seem responsible? any experienced owner that can help me?

p.s beware of deals... special price yay right

Re: Hurt or Sick Gecko Plz help

Pictures would help. It sounds like your gecko other than being hurt is a little dehydrated from the ride- how long was the ride home? Can the gecko walk at all? Rides can be stressful with fluctuating temps and a smaller gecko so it is possible, but knowing how long you have had this gecko and how you have cared for it is also really important like Andrew suggested, but it is weird for a breeder to mention maybe the gecko was crushed-were the containers still normal and undented when you got home?

Re: Hurt or Sick Gecko Plz help

i got the gecko 25 hours ago and the ride was 1:45 min. I got home yesterday, put the gecko in the keeper and when i checked on the gecko this morning it seamed lifeless.
it can still move slightly back seams worse.
and let me clear this up. They said that they had previous geckos that were pinned in the small keeper racking system and they still use it anyways.
the container i brought home is still fine, not crushed.

Re: Hurt or Sick Gecko Plz help

Well if the container you brought the gecko home in is fine you obDviously didn't crush the little guy in transport, but can you post a pic of the dent in question. I am wondering if this guy is really dehydrated and sunken in or dented cause his skin isn't bouncing back. Does he try and get away if you touch the dent like it might hurt?

Re: Hurt or Sick Gecko Plz help

ok. I didnt want to post a picture of the gecko because it might reveal the breeder and start more fight. but i'll post if it will help
I really dont want to bug my baby anymore today so can I get you the pics tomorrow? I'll even send a pic showing the breeders container with no dents.
and my setup because everyone on my previous forum just accused me of having poor husbandry which is wierd cause i was particularly happy with my tank sizes and cleansiness.
Thanks for your help
and if i touch the gecko it doesnt move at all! I had it in my hand and if i slightly turn my hand the gecko will turn upside down.. and remain rather stiff. but it still has lockjaw and moving when it really needs to.

Re: Hurt or Sick Gecko Plz help

Try getting it to drink, like, right now. Put water on its nose or something.

See if it will eat the CGD, put some on its nose also.
