Re: Jim and Barbara hatchlings
I forgot to ask what temp ranges you are using to get each sex? I usually go low 70s for females, & 78-79 for males
Again, CONGRATS! I can't wait to see Jim & Barbara progeny!!!

Re: Jim and Barbara hatchlings
I holdback everything now, since I learned how complex their ontogenical changes can be, but if you hatch out a very light baby...those generally end up very vivid green &/or yellow, & can have some crazy pink/red action as adults. I have one that hatched out looking like an albino, & now, @ half grown, she is like nothing I've ever seen...fingers crossed

Re: Jim and Barbara hatchlings
Oh yeah, they'll all be for sale unless one of them looks really crazy. I'm going to hold onto them for several months to get an idea how they color up. Barbara was less interesting than both of these guys when I got her, so I don't think I can even have an idea what they look like until around six months of age.
Calia, these two were TSF, but I just got another egg and am TSM it. I believe you would probably want a male for Demona? If so, that egg would be a good fit assuming it hatches.

Re: Jim and Barbara hatchlings
Yep, looking for a male for Demona, though at the same time I'm afraid to pair her up with a male since I suspect she's a partho layer. She's been popping out a pair every 6 months like clock work, which none of my other girls do. Either way, I really do love the look of the locale a lot and am dieing to have another pair to play with, lol.

Re: Jim and Barbara hatchlings
Wow, leave for a month and come back to this! Congrats! I'm sure they'll both look incredible, and plus they're pure! Amazing man!
I think it's almost impossible to predict how any leachie is going to look, but I'd think that you could get a pretty good guess with experience. I'm sure you know that Snowflake hatched out toatally normal and then turned into one of the most colorful and well-known leachies. Anyway, you have to keep us updated on these guys! With lots of pictures!

Re: Jim and Barbara hatchlings
Barbara was totally green with absolutely no blotching at all when I got her and suddenly popped color at six months old. Jim had blotching when I got him at two weeks of age, but the color didn't begin to come in until six months. This is the first time that a "snowflake" Brosse and a "pink" Brosse have been crossed, so really there's no telling at all what the offspring will look like. Neither Jim nor Barbara's parents are anything terribly special... they're nice, but not as unique looking as the animals they produce. Really, these guys may end up looking like normal brosse, one or even a mix of both parents. That's part of the fun
