Trachy Bar Morph vs.Spotted Morph

Before discussing this subject I want it to be clear that I have had the Rhach fever since 2000.I obtained my Trachy from Rich at Petacular. He is very serious about what he does and am suprised he has not named a child of his Trachy.I happened to be there at the right time. When I had the opportunity to purchase a bar patteren Trachy morph.Rich said little is know about this morph. It might be Pine Island.I believe he is the originator of this morph or at least to the US.Now here are the differance between the too.The bared morph has more girth, where as the spotted morph is slender. The tail is very thick with the end being just like a cigar. It's very rounded, where as spotted morph tail is not as thick and there is more of a point to it.When compared side by side.Even though the tail are the same lenghs on both morphs. The spotted morphs seems longer due to it's pointness. One other thing;the spotted morph doesn't even liked to be looked at.That how skiddish my male is.On the other hand. The bared morph can be handled and even be handed over to friends to hold.Like a Crested!Sean

Very interesting. Could you post some pictures of the two just to illustrate your points. I'd love to see them.

No Trachyrynchus in Hamm, I once saw 1.0 for 1000 euro, If you want 1.1 trachyrhynchus you will need other very rare gecko's to trade them for. Only very few trachys are produced in europe and the people producing them mostly don't want to sell but prefer trading. If you would be so lucky to find someone who sells 1.1 price would probably be at least 3000 euro.

Re: Trachy Bar Morph vs.Spotted Morph

I Know, we Know but like you say, there are breeders of rhacodactilus that are starting to have Trachyrynchus. The price is a litte high that I suggest...

In march we´ll see. Regards
