Unhappy Dark Harlequins...they get no respect. :)

Dark Harleys were the cutting edge thing a few years ago and now it seems like people new to Cresteds don't appreciate them. They've come a long way in the last several years, though. Here's some of my adults, as well as some others.

BTW, these are just snapshots taken for my own records...these pictures really, really suck, but I obviously decided to post them anyway. lol

Harry
He's got a bit of a green look when colored up. He's also got "hair" (the yellow/white scales) EVERYWHERE...on his thighs, "knees and shins", head, back, etc.

He even has a hairy ____!!!! lol

Stripes.
He's actually a full pinstripe with a nearly solid cream back, fully side striped and has the crowned trait too. His sides can get dark (nearly black) at times, but more often than not, he's colored like this...

Wild Child
This girl has the same exact color scheme as Stripes, but without the side striping or full pinstripe. This girl was psychotic as a baby. Whenever I opened the tub she was in, I could count on her darting out within five seconds. She was easily the most agile baby I've ever seen. She also likes to bite now. lol

Continued...

Pink Pinstripe Project
One is a nice dark harley with a lot of cream on his back and the other one...well, I don't know. She should have been colored the same as the male, but came out pink for some reason. I paired these two up just a couple weeks ago and as you can imagine, I'll be eagerly anticipating the babies.

???
This is a neat juvie from one of my toying around projects. Definitely not a dark harley.

Thanks. Yep, Harry is definitely sporting crowned trait...his head is so wide that if you look at him head on, the crests droop like he just got a bucket of water poured over his head. lol

hey in the pink pinstripe project.... isn't that the kool aid dipped gecko? That's an interesting pairing... should get some tasty babies out of that one.

And stripes looks like he could be of use in multiple projects. Very nice Anthony

Dark Harleys are my favourite of all the colour/pattern combos out there. Wild Child is definately my favourite out of the bunch!
I have a quick question...how do you tell if they are actually 'crowned', I mean, how big do the crests have to be before it would be considered as crowned? (Sorry makes no sense, blame the chemistry exam I've just taken!)

Anthony: I actually purchased one from you and he was a 2 to 3 months old. This is a picture of him now at a year old.

I have had soooo many compliments. Do you know which ones are his parents? I have some great breeding ideas using him in the fall and I can't wait to see what I get.
