My 1st Crested Gecko

Just got my gecko from one of the national pet store chains...i couldn't leave him there. He's my first crested so i'm a little new to caring for them but i've gained a lot through this site. One question though...should I take him to a vet? he seems perfectly healthy and is very active but I want to make sure he's okay.

Well....If you want your wallet to be gouged for no good reason, sure. Vets don't generally have much reptile experience, and I seriously doubt you could even find one who is familiar with Rhacodactylus.

Cresteds are pretty hardy little guys, the only real disease/threat to them is the entameoba discussed here.

If you want you can get a fecal done on it but, if its acting normal and nothing seem wrong then you should be fine.
