Mist'r Lizard Jr. Mister Bottle

Are you one of those people (like me) who gets hand cramps pumping away at a trigger-sprayer? Perhaps this is an indicator of two things- you have too many geckos (no way!) or the wrong spray bottle for your needs.

Mist'r Lizard Jr. is a relatively cheap and easy way to end those painful cramps and stop adding useless muscles in your fingers. Available at PetSmart, this nifty bottle makes spraying multiple cages an instant breeze! A couple pumps to the bottle and you're free to squirt, spray, or mist your enclosures. A simple tweak of the nozzle tip will ajust your stream to your preferred setting. Three to four pumps will provide enough spray for a ten-gallon to be thoroughly saturated.

At this time, Mist'r Lizard Jr. is available to PetPerks members for $9.99, which is a great investment for the amount of value it gives. It's a far cry from the $0.99 empty hairspray bottles you buy at Wal-Mart, but it all comes down to how much time you want to spend spraying down all of your enclosures.

This sprayer is probably best used on 10 gallon and larger enclosures, as every nozzle setting for a decent spray or mist has about a little bit over a foot's diameter when sprayed. Unless you like moisturizing the whole room, spraying kritter keepers and smaller tubs individually would be best suited for your little trigger-sprayer.

Overall, this is a great handheld product that will aid those who own more animals than the average keeper.

Re: Mist'r Lizard Jr. Mister Bottle

I have this bottle too. I bought it for all the reasons you mentioned and it works just fine. Not to down it but I also have a big garden one now because I like to have enough water for my frog too. Either way yes its a lot better than sitting there with a spray bottle. My wrists are bad enough as it is. I have stopped spraying as much because I've heard its okay, but good to keep around . I do use my big sprayer to spray Kritter Keepers but it does not take much like you said. A quick 1 second pass gets the whole thing dripping. And a little extra mist never hurt anyone. Thanks Sarah (hope you don't mind me blabbing away on your review)

No problem at all- the more input on these kinds of things, the better! I know Andrew has a huge garden one as well, but I have not yet reached the point of the industrial-sized breeder needs; for advanced breeders with large collections, a more heavy-duty spraying tool would be the next step up from this one, to be sure. You or Andrew should make a review for the sprayers you're using now, hint hint. Thanks for the comments!

Re: Mist'r Lizard Jr. Mister Bottle

I think that happened to mine and I just popped the ring back on. Not sure if that's what you mean but I remember something like that happened to mine once. I have had mine over a year and it works. I just don't use it as much anymore.

Re: Mist'r Lizard Jr. Mister Bottle

I haven't used this particular model but have had a number of different models from ACE Hardware and Home Depot and they have all failed a lot sooner than I would like. I did use them a lot more than most hobbyists would though. I ended up using a plant watering hose, nothing to carry, attaches to your faucet. I'll do a review on one soon as mine is getting worn (after four years of heavy use).

Bet I've found so far (including this one) are the $1 Dollarama bottles - I get about 6 months in the store before the spring overcompresses, but at $1 a piece you can't go wrong - great mist or focussed spray too.
