Smile A night with a gecko enthusiast and his family!

Last night my family and I spent a few hours in the hart of a gecko enthusiast. It started with some one from this site, though emails invite me and my family over to his house to see all of his animals. As being new to this hobby and a little research on this guy it turns out to be a breeder, that I have seen his website and went back to many times to look at his Crested and leopards geckos.
What an experience this was for all of us! After a brief introduction of the people, we started down a row of tanks. The first gecko was Lucy. My 8year old thinks this is one of the nieces looking geckos there is off the website. Lucy wouldn’t get fired up for us but she spent most of the night at the front of her tank looking at us. Then as we looked to find some eggs and talking Mya my 8year old, ask what that was in one of the tanks. It turns out to be a baby gold dust day gecko. With some fast moves with a deli cup and some help from my wife, it was safe. Back to the eggs, as we went to put them away there were two new babies. With the help from my two girls, the babies were put away. Then it was one of his chameleons performed some target practice on some crickets for the kids and us. This was very cool. Then the Gargoyles I really liked them. Thinking we were coming to the end of the row, we were told now the hot room. Well there were more chameleons but it was the leopards of all kinds. Thor and his Fat tail girls, to many others to mention.
All I can say is that if you have a set up and you know of some one willing to come over to see them you should send out an invite. You will have the hero status in the kids for sure and a new friend for sure. Thanks Wally, Tim, and Nanette
Ps the little ones are doing well

I love seeing his set-ups I actually have to come through on my "threat" to come over soon.

He is a great guy and stands behind his animals 100%. Don't be afraid to talk to him if you have any questions what-so-ever.

Did Tim show you the hedgehogs?

No he didn't. We were there for two hours, left at 900pm Had to get the kids home to bed. Was after 10 before they were in bed. It was cool, I think we got to see every part of breeding in one stop. My wife picked out two Crested to dring home. Now I am up to 3 Wally is a class act!!

Evan,
It was a pleasure having you and your family over. I certainly love the animals and sharing my enthusiasm. To see the enthusiasm you, your wife, and two daughters shared for the animals really makes it exciting for me.
I was happy we could find some eggs to show the girls. Then, as you mentioned, to put them away and find two little babies was special.
To top it off, what a thrill to find the little gold dust in the adult tank!
Good luck with the two young cresteds. I think you will be VERY happy with their colors in about 5 months! The problem is.... whose cresteds are they- yours, your wife's, or the girls

Well I guess they are Wendy’s. However, in WI the law is 50/50 right? The truth be told they are Wendy’s. Therefore, I don’t have any right now. I will have to come over with my wallet, check book and you could send me the rest on pay-pal. I will need two or three of each. LOL!!
