Bearded dragon question

My son and I recently hatched out 20 bearded dragons. I have one in the group though that seems alittle off. When you walk by the tank he'll lean his head backat a 90 degree angle over his back. After he sits that way for awhile he'll actually fall over on his side then to his back. He's eating ok just seems off balance. Any suggestions on whats up?

Re: Bearded dragon question

The head raise/bob is a defensive stance in which dragons show off their beards to competition. This little guy may have caught on to this technique a before the others and this could cause the disorientation. I think he will be fine in time as he ages. If you are keeping your hatchlings together, just watch him closely for more aggressive territorial behaviors. This one may have to be separated from the others.

Re: Bearded dragon question

Sounds like a neurological problem to me. You would be lucky to get a whole batch of eggs with no poor doers. I'd keep him by himself and monitor him closely. There is likely nothing that could be done. Hope I am wrong!
