I have seen repashy gutloads and insect dusts going on sale, but not the crested gecko diet. At the PetCo closest to us in Ankeny, most T-Rex products are 2 to 3 dollars cheaper, but the crested gecko diet remained standard price. I did not ask anyone about the sale, assuming that it would be temporary. The next time we go I will inquire.

I went in today to get bones for the dogs at our rockville petco and there are no repashy products on the shelves period. I played dumb and asked where the t-rex crested gecko diet was and was told they haven't carried it in a month. I asked if it would be in soon and the person said they weren't sure so either they ran out or they aren't planning on carrying it

Julie does a great job with helping people with their gecko needs.
The loss of the MRP/CGD from retail stores will be very unfortunate.

i talked to an assistant manager at a different petco,and she had no idea what i was referring to.nothing had changed at that particular store,and she wasn't aware of any upcoming changes at her store.that particular store does fairly well with the sell of reptiles,so maybe it is only on clearance at stores with low reptile sales.i'll call a friend of mine who is also an assistant manager and see if i can't find out more.

Any new information on this? I'm used to telling some new owners that if they can't buy their diet online, PetCo supplies the food. This would be mega-bogus, for all the reasons that were already mentioned.

I haven't had a chance to get out there myself yet. Has anyone else?

i was told by my friend,who is an assistant manager,that it all depends on sales,if a particular item isn't selling well in that area they stop selling it.i'd tell customers to call the local petco store first,some carry certain items,and others don't.

I know my local petco's (about 5) have stopped carrying it and some have even stopped carrying reptiles. I talked with some of the managers and they are cutting cost to avoid closing.
