Stripes vs. Banded vs. Mottled?

I'm curious about which morph people prefer? It looks like there is a lot of interest in striped varieties right now, as well as experimentation with how much orange the gargoyles will express.

I personally am really interested in the subtler dark patterns with lots of greys, and browns and I've seen some beautiful bandeds and some nice striped in those tones.

So what do you prefer? If you are breeding, what traits are you following? What is the most spectacular expression of said preferred trait that you hve seen?

I personally like the ghost phase, as well as the bright orange and red specimens!! definetly awesome geckos!! I plan on getting a couple at the Daytona show in august!!

I must admit, I prefer stripes.... but I like the others too.... one of my favorite females is a gorgeous black and white reticulated... she always has such crisp color with no hint of yellow. I plan on breeding her to a nice striped male, I hope she passes on that contrast. :D

I really can't pick, but Id go with any of the various orange/red blotched and striped animals. I like em all though don't get me wrong!

I actually love them all. I've got 1 banded (really distinct) w/ orange blotches, 1 reticulated, and 5 stripers...from ruddys to white/blacks.
I am also a big fan of those red/orange striped combo gargoyles.

I really love the ghosts. If I ever pick up a pair of Gargoyles I hope I can find some :)

i like all gargs it dont matter color but if i had to choose i would probly pick stripe...but i like my ghostly retic female..her male is on the way...

I think i would choose stripe, but i only have one female reticulated and she is awesome. But i would like to get a stripe male for her.

Anything gargoyle is great, I can't pick a favourite. Lately I've been adding stripes to my collection though because I already have reticulated and blotched. If I ever see a decent banded one, I'll probably start adding them too (something my budget objects to, btw) ;)
