Well, those of you whom attended the symposium at tinley this year have already seen these leachies that were brought for display purposes, mainly for Philippe's talk. They spent Sunday night at my place and went to Allen on monday, and didn't arrive until Wednesday  along with some other leachies, aurics, chahoua, E. agricolae, and f1 ciliatus. Needless to say I was on the phone with UPS a lot over those two days. Everything arrived just fine, even the 3 week old E. agricolae. Here are some photos I snapped on Monday before sending them out.

Hope you enjoy :)... and I think Allen will chime in here to maybe give a little background on the animals for those of you who are interested ( I know I am)

Great pictures! I'm glad everyone arrived safe and sound. I can't wait until my little 3 month old GT gets to be a grown up big boy!

The first one is "Mr Hankey" :). He is a a Yate/Pondieme GT cross, and the largest "type A" GT to my knowledge. He weighed in at 450 grams when I packed them for the symposium. The next is I believe a WC Nu Ana Male from Philippe's collection, and the spotted one is a true Pine island male that is the largest henkeli I know of at near 300 grams.

Just gorgeous. I have been hesitating to get one - I'm not into all the crabby biting kinds of geckos I guess. But I really want a Leachie. Man - they are just outstanding. Thanks for showing them.

I'm drooling. Not only a leachie post but also WC...... clean genes. WOW.
Go ahead, Monte, get some leachies. You won't regret it. They're not crabby at all, don't bite unless it's self-defense (or at least my Lady Oscar doesn't bite). I can hand feed Lady, she'll lick food off my fingers, as dainty a lady as any crested gecko. She can bite, I have a scar to prove it, but she felt the need to defend herself at the time, so I can't blame her.
Leachies are the best (next to gargoyles).
I'me studying the Pine Island leachie to see what the defining characteristics are (if they're even visible in the pictures). Supposedely, Lady Oscar is a PI, and I have no reason to doubt it. Is there any place where I can find out how to tell if she is -- as in what defines a PI?

jeez louise...if theres one other gecko that i like as much as my leaftails, it's gotta be a big honkin leachie. i still have high hopes of keeping one of these in the future. great pics, adrew. and beautiful animals, allen.
Great shots Andrew, those guys are huge! They make my Island E male look tiny. Those are some extremely nice leachianus. Thanks for sharing.

I'm no expert when it comes to defining leachie locales, but Philippe gave some good pointers as to where to start determining an animals locale during his speech at the symposium. I haven't looked over the footage gathered at the symposium yet, but my friend is currently working on compiling it for me to look over and for us to work out. You could just buy the DVD when it comes out :) .... or hope that Philippe chimes in to help out.
Thanks for all of the comments guys, they sure were neat to have around for the day they were here. I just wish I had a macro lens, and a suitable flash set up to do the animals better justice :) ... soon enough :D

Amazing animals Allen. I wonder if your Yate x Poindimie is related to mine (the one in my avatar). He is a Yate x Poindimie from Philippe. At what age did he reach 450 grams?

Leachies are the puppies of all of the lizards I have owned. Igot a pair of juvies from Phillipe DeV. that were only about 3 in long a year ago and they are doing great and growing like weeds. I was reaally afraid of making such a large purchase on such small guys, but I am convinced that the T-Rex diet with crickets and worms is what has made them grow so fast and kept them in great shape. They are both larger than adult leos and love to be held, almost like little puppies. They are my pride and joy of my collection. Have never even been close to being bitten. They do crap on every shirt I have on when I'm holding them, but so did my Umbrella cockatoo, and he was my favorite and did bite the crap outta my daughter and wife. Leachies have been a great investment as well as a good healthy docile reptile. They are very hardy and very easy on the wallet to feed. I recommend them to anybody that can make the investment. Hands down a great Rhac.
Oh yeah....they are about 18mos old Nuu Amis. I'll post pix in a couple weeks.

Actually Geoff that leachie is a Yate x Pondieme' just like Mr. Hankey. They are probably brothers or half brothers. When I sold you that gecko I didn't have any Mt. Koghis animals in my collection.
