Okay, so sexing a Leopard Gecko is pretty easy.

Sexing a Gargoyle seems a little more...involved.

Any pointers? I'd really like to know whether Grr is a guy or grrl. ;o]

Yes. I named him/her Grr. His/her full name is Foo "Grr" Narber.

Foo comes from, "If the Foo S**ts, Wear it!" - taken from its defensive action of pooing on the hand that picks it up...

Grr is a take-off from Invader Zim (but don't want the copyright infringement stuff)

Narber...well, because it's a nifty way to describe the action required of a gecko to "narb" a cricket. It also fits nicely in the "Dick and Jane" series.

"See Grr. See Grr narb. Narb, Grr, narb."

Anyway, back to the question.........anybody have any tips on sexing?

Thanks as always!

There are two ways that most of us sex auriculatus:
1. Using an 8x loupe or better, check for dark colored pits--preanal pores that are present right before the vent--their presence is indicative of it being a male.
2. Wait to see those infamous bulges.

Hope this helps...

Check this thread: What are my chances of having a male? (http://www.forums.repashy.com/showthread.php?t=3609)

There's a whole forum devoted to this subject at: General Information Reptile Sexing. (http://www.forums.repashy.com/forumdisplay.php?f=90) I haven't looked lately but I'll bet there are a few more threads dealing with gargoyles over there.
