Is there any diffence in the attitude between male and female leachies? I am going to purchase one as a pet for now until I can afford a mate, so I want one that is easy to handle. I have heard that males are calmer?

There is no difference at all between the sexes when it comes to personality in my experience. I have aggressive females and aggressive males and the same on the other side with calm females and calm males. Every gecko is different.
