i don`t have a picture as av not seen them am asking as the person that has them for sale will not let them go till there are three months old. and she is selling them as unsexed.Just i as so in need of a female.

It's not impossible to sex them at that age.... but pretty unlikely you'll find someone willing to sell them as a guaranteed female at that age. I think there are a few people who sell them as sexed at 6-10 grams. Chahoua are a bit more difficult to sex for the most part in my opinion, at least until they hit 10-15 grams or so.

Yes, I agree with Andrew.... I believe .... but not 100% sure (since I can't remember) but the ones I have sexed were about 5 months old (maybe). They were I would guess about 15 grams or heavier. They weren't real little.

I wouldn't trust someone saying that it's a female if it were under 15 grams or so.

We bought a 3 months old chahoua recently. As unsexed and possible female. But when we came home we sexed it using a loupe 10x and could clearly see it was a male. He was about 10 cm total lenght. But we could not sex one of our other chahoua till he was 6 months old. So i guess it depends....

We bought a chahoua from Steve that wasn't even 3 months old, weighed 11 grams, and was easily louped to be male. Pores were visible at that size and age on that one without a problem. The other one we have right now is only 7.5 grams, and I can't see any signs of pores on it yet. In another month or so...maybe, but like Debbie said, it's going to vary from gecko to gecko.

I can understand why you'd be concerned that the seller is waiting until they are 3 months old, giving them the chance to possibly sex them and send you one that they already know the gender instead of truly being unsexed.

If I were you I may spend the money to buy a sexed female and avoid all the guess work and waiting. Slightly more expensive, but I know for a fact many people do sex their geckos and sell known males who have yet to drop which is super crappy, but it happens.
